Question 1

When should I send a written letter instead of just calling?

Accepted Answer

Companies stall verbal cancellation and refund requests because there is no paper trail. A written letter starts a clock, gives you proof to attach to a chargeback if needed, and forces escalation to whoever actually has authority. Send the letter first, then call.

Question 2

How is this better than ChatGPT?

Accepted Answer

ChatGPT writes a generic letter. CraftMyLetter has structured forms for each consumer letter type (cancellation, refund, billing dispute, complaint), the right escalation tone, and the legal-adjacent language that companies actually respond to. You also get an AI Review pass that catches weak phrasing before you send.

Question 3

Will the company actually respond?

Accepted Answer

Many do — especially when the letter is specific, written, and time-bound. We cannot guarantee a refund (nobody can), but the Starter Pack pays for itself the moment one ignored email turns into a refund. The 30-day guarantee covers the purchase either way.

Question 4

Do I need a lawyer?

Accepted Answer

For most consumer refund and cancellation letters, no. CraftMyLetter is designed for the routine cases — gym memberships, subscriptions, billing errors, refused refunds. If the dispute involves contract law, large amounts, or a regulatory authority, talk to a lawyer.

Question 5

What if I only need one letter?

Accepted Answer

Your first letter is free — no credit card. The pack is for the person handling multiple disputes (e.g. consolidating subscriptions, or appealing a string of denied refunds).

The letter that gets the refund back.
